X-Ray Protective Head Caps RA611 & RA612
Keeping the needs of our customers in mind, MAVIG developed two individual X-Ray protective headwear solutions.
- Optimally adjusted to individual head circumferences
- Correct fit and high level of wearing comfort for the user
- Meets all relevant regulations and requirements
- Complies with the specifications of DIN EN ISO 13795-1 for surgical textiles
- PFC-free outer material according to Oeko-Tex® 100 standard
- Biocompatible, phthalate-free radiation protection materials (lead components can be recycled)
Protection for the Cranium
An increased risk in the occurrence of brain tumors in medical personnel due to high dose work environments, such as interventional radiology, is currently a focus of research.
Particularly in work places where dose values cannot be reduced by a radiation protective shield or another protective system, the head is exposed to a significant amount of radiation.
The two MAVIG designs have different protective and air permeable surface areas.
Protective Head Cap RA611
The radiation protective cap protects the front, sides, and 2/3 of the top of the head. Along the middle of the top side, a breathable airflow strip has been sown in.
Protective Head Cap RA612
The enclosed head cap provides radiation protection of the front, sides, and top of the head.
NEW: Now with RFID chip!
All of our radiation protection clothing items now feature a RFID chip sewn into the label.

MAVIG X-ray protective headwear complies with DIN EN 61331-1, DIN EN 61331-3, DIN 6857-1, and the
German X-ray ordinance. Naturally, these models also have passed EC-type examination and are certified in accordance to PPE 89/686/EEC (CE/PPE). MAVIG X-ray protective clothing provides the assurance of fulfilling all applicable legal specifications.

Our RA models are now certified not only as PPE category III but also as a class I medical device in accordance with EU MDR 2017/745!
