The new shielding setup creates optimal conditions and protection against scattered radiation for the examiner and assistant in interventional cardiology. The Connect & Protect feature allows the system to be flexibly adapted to any situation due to the detachable intermediate curtain.
The focus has been on reducing the weight of personal protective equipment for some time now. To fulfill these market requirements, MAVIG has developed a new solution for on-site radiation protection: the Image-Safely System.
The centerpiece is the large OT58001 radiation protection shield. An connecting curtain with a lead equivalent of 0.50 mm Pb seamlessly connects two radiation protection shields, creating the largest possible protection zone against scattered radiation in the room. This allows for a smooth workflow for each individual procedure.
At the same time, the product offers unique flexibility through the Connect & Protect feature. If the procedure does not allow for a configuration with two shields, it is easy to separate them.

The new OT58001 radiation protection shield set can reduce scattered radiation at the examiner’s position by up to 98% (in combination with UT70 lower body protection and ST-FS5AMM, ST-RZ5AMM patient drapes). This allows the lead equivalent of your X-ray protective apron to be reduced and the weight to be significantly lowered.
The radiation protection concept is easy to integrate, especially in rooms where the Portegra®2 suspension system is already installed.
