The Image Safely® setup of proven protection systems, including the new shielding system for Imaging Environments OT58, results in the highest reduction of radiation exposure.

Image Safely is MAVIG’s response to the call of clinical facilities as well as the relevant professional societies for enhanced radiation protection devices (ERPDs) in order to meet ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards. With this new system, up to 98% reduction in scattered radiation within the “Image Safely Zone” is possible. This means the radiation protection apron worn by medical staff is no longer the primary but rather the secondary means of protection. Therefore, the lead equivalent can be reduced to a minimum (currently 0.25 mmPb), significantly reducing the weight of the radiation protection clothing worn. At the same time, a basic level of protection for unforeseeable events is maintained.
