Ready for lighter protection?
Image Safely® is MAVIG’s response to the call of clinical facilities as well as the relevant professional societies for enhanced radiation protection devices (ERPDs) in order to meet ALARA+ (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards. With this new system, up to 98% reduction in scattered radiation within the “Image Safely® Zone” is possible.
This means the radiation protection apron worn by medical staff is no longer the primary but rather the secondary means of protection. Therefore, the lead equivalent can be reduced to a minimum (currently 0.25 mmPb), significantly reducing the weight of the radiation protection clothing worn. At the same time, a basic level of protection for unforeseeable events is maintained.
