RFID stands for “Radio Frequency Identification” and refers to a technology for the automatic and contactless identification of objects using radio waves.
An RFID system consists of two components
- RFID transponder (chip): Located on or inside the product, it stores a unique identifier.
- RFID reader: Reads the stored information wirelessly.
Unlike conventional labeling methods, no direct visual contact is required. The data can be captured quickly, reliably, and contactlessly.
Digital labeling makes important product information available quickly and reliably:
- Item number
- Serial number
- Date of manufacture

The RFID chip is already integrated into the product as standard and incurs no additional cost to you. No separate selection is required when placing an order. The technology is discreetly sewn into the garment’s label and can be read at any time using an RFID reader that supports the UHF standard.
