On January 27, 2025, we presented a cheque for €3,500 to the non-profit organization Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. (Breast Cancer Germany) as part of a special campaign. The sum was raised through the “Victoria” fundraising campaign, which was initiated by us and additionally supported by one of our partner companies MediСo.
Ms. Ina Markowitz, employee of Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V., accepted the cheque on behalf of the association. It was presented by MAVIG’s Managing Director Alexia Lepère, Anna-Luisa Uhlitz, Head of Project Victoria and Simone Füsers, Head of Confection. The presentation took place at our premises in Munich and provided a good opportunity to discuss the important work of the association and innovations in the field of radiation protection.
After the handover, Ms. Markowitz had the opportunity to take a look at the production facility where the Victoria collection, like all MAVIG protective clothing, is made by skilled hands – a special connection to the fundraising campaign, as part of the proceeds from the sale of the collection also went towards the donation. Ms. Markowitz was thus able to see for herself that the protective clothing that is so important for medical staff is produced in a high-quality and sustainable manner.
The “Victoria” fundraising campaign is a project close to our hearts, to which MediCo has also made an important contribution. We would like to support projects of Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V., which deal with education, research and concrete offers of help for those affected by breast cancer.
The entire donation goes directly to the projects of Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V.. Further information on the “Victoria” campaign and the commitment of MAVIG and MediCo can be found in our other blog post: https://mavig.com/blog/victoria-breast-cancer-fundraising/
